BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE COLLEGE ATHLETICS

We are looking for a motivated, results-drive business development team member to assist SM2 with sales in the collegiate sports markets. From a start-up to successful sports social media solutions company, we are looking for competitive, financially motivated team player. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with senior executives to establish and execute sales goals within the collegiate athletics markets.
  • Help to forecast annual, quarterly and monthly sales goals.
  • Collaborate on sales strategies and business development plans and presentations to ensure growth both long and short-term.
  • Monitor SM2 accounts across the NCAA, and pinpoint ways to penetrate new B2B clients.
  • Generate leads and close new deals.
  • Correspond across multiple communications platforms to potential leads and discuss their evolving needs and programming.
  • Help to develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture key clients.
  • Assist marketing team to create and implement automated marketing/sales campaigns using our CEM/CRM tool.
  • Manage CEM/CRM tool to keep over 2000+ SM2 sports contacts within NCAA and keep up-to-date.
  • Develop social media sales campaigns using our CEM/CRM tools targeted at key demographics.
  • Assist with targeted social media advertising campaigns across social networking platforms.
  • Assist entrepreneurial team with secondary start-up company within sports and technology.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-5 years sales and business development within college athletics.
  • Solid negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated and competitive.
  • Outgoing and goal-oriented.
  • Strong decision-making abilities.
  • Familiarity with CRM/CEM software.
  • Working success on Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and GoToMeeting.
  • Knowledge of performance metrics.
  • Strong knowledge of college athletics and athletic departments.
  • Basic knowledge of social media.
  • Understanding of technology and SaaS-based tools and eLearning.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Creative marketing & sales ideas.

REPORTING:

  • Reports to senior sales executive and C-suite.
  • Can work remotely
