Jeff Schemmel, Collegiate Athletic Advisor

Jeff Schemmel brings over 25-years of intercollegiate athletics management experience and integrity to Social Media Sports Management (SM2). SM2 protects and maximizes valuable sports brands through digital, social media and real-time communications strategies, coaching, education, empowerment and teams.

In his role as a Collegiate Athletic Advisor, the former Athletic Director counsels the senior teams at SM2 on intercollegiate initiatives, hot-topics and collegiate business development.

Mr. Schemmel is also the founder and president of College Sports Solutions (CSS), a leading full-service provider of collegiate athletic consulting, strategies and solutions to universities, intercollegiate conferences, and collegiate organizations. He has served in key leadership positions within the NCAA, the Mountain West Conference and Conference USA, and at schools in the Big 12, Big Ten, and Pac-12 conferences.

Schemmel holds a Juris Doctor degree from Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas and earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Kansas State University, where he was a five-time Big 8 Conference and an NCAA champion in track and field, competing under the legendary Deloss Dodds.

Committed to service, Mr. Schemmel is actively involved in various non-profit activities. He has two sons who have followed in their father’s footsteps. Justin Schemmel is an assistant athletic director/director of compliance at the University of Northern Iowa, and Jon Schemmel is an associate athletic director for development at the University of South Dakota.
